All volunteers must complete a criminal records check before they can work directly with our clients’ dogs.
Offer Us A Training Space
If you own a business, we would be grateful if you give us permission to train our dogs there! No matter what your business is, whether you run a movie theatre, a lumber mill, or a dog daycare, our dogs need to practice behaving appropriately there.

Distract Our Dogs
We are always looking for members of the public to act… well, like members of the public. That’s right, we WANT you to coo over our dogs, pet them without asking, and generally make a pest of yourself. By doing this in a controlled environment, we can teach our dogs to handle such incidents gracefully, and their human partners get practice at dealing with them appropriately.
Start by filling out our volunteer application form available on our website. Once submitted, our volunteer coordinator will contact you to discuss your interests and availability. We require all volunteers to attend an orientation session, where you’ll learn more about our mission, the roles available, and the expectations we have for our team members.
Dog-Sit Our Dogs
When dogs spend too much time with their human partner, they sometimes miss the opportunity to learn that they can feel comfortable and happy with humans other than this human. It is important that the dog form other attachments in case their person ever has an emergency, plus sometimes dogs need a rest from being “on call” when they know their human needs them.
We like to have experienced, savvy dog handlers who are willing and able to borrow our clients’ dogs, whether it is just for a one hour walk or for a one week vacation!
All sitters must be familiar with force-free training techniques and must undergo a criminal records check.
